College counsellor, Brett Bowring, talks post-secondary pathways
Each year, the diversity of our students is reiterated through the array of post-secondary plans that our college counseling office helps guide students through.
The majority of them seek a university education directly following graduation, while there is a consistent year-on-year trend that sees nearly ten percent pursuing a gap year to focus on internships, travel, and reacclimating to homelands. Additionally, just over ten percent of this year's students will solely apply to universities in locations such as Saudi Arabia, Australia and New Zealand; all of which have application processes that start following High School graduation.
For those students who are planning to transition directly into university life this coming fall, these past few months have been busy with traditional applications, as well as with reviewing acceptances from the highly successful Concourse Global platform.
